Tideswell and The Hucklows We fancied a walk in a whiter section of The Peak District and have enjoyed our visits to Tideswell in the past, so this looked like a good place to start. As ever, the best way to start our walk was to have a coffee and the Tideswell Lounge looked inviting. We weren't disappointed. The menu was appealing and we decided that this would be a good place to come for brunch at some time in the future. After a bit of a false start (getting going can be a bit of a challenge), we found our way out of the village through a super little community orchard in which the apples seemed to be doing well and headed northwest on a 1km, straight track. The White Peak is a real contrast to The Dark, one of the principle differences being the trees!
