Youlgreave to Elton We began the walk from our cottage, going down to the clapper bridge over the River Bradford. Clapper bridge over the River Bradford We turned left and followed the Limestone Way downstream to reach (the first of many) squeeze stiles and then across to Bleakley Dike. A squeeze stile We negotiated various fields, with the route taking us to the access lane to Harthill Moor Farm. Then we negotiated lots more stiles and fields in order to ascend the footpath into Elton, where we stopped in the churchyard to have lunch. Sign as we entered Elton (Clearly, we'd come the right way!) Preparations were underway for a wedding later in the afternoon and we enjoyed watching the groom and best man having their photographs taken. From Elton, we made for open ground, past the old quarries and guided by a strategic large stone gatepost with a square hole.
