Digley Reservoir, Kirklees Way and Stopes Moor On a very sunny Saturday we decided to avoid the crowds and head out to Digley Reservoir, just beyond Holme. It was a beautiful day and the walk did not disappoint. We left the car park and started the walk alongside the Reservoir. Soon the route took us up to the rather stony Kirklees Way which we walked along, enjoying the usual sights and sounds of lambs, birds and the occasional fellow walker. Hot sheep and lambs- wanting only mint sauce We passed various barns and farm buildings and then chose a pleasant spot, facing the familiar route to Wessenden Head, for our lunch. Continuing along the edge of the moor was great and it was clear that more adventurous walks could be had in this area (as Paul and David had done). Just beyond the impressive but somewhat delipidated Goodbent Lodge, we dropped down to the ford across Marsden Clough.
