Holme, Black Hill and Twizle Head Moss David was out for a walk on his own today. Although it was very hot, it was relatively breezy up at Holme so I decided to do a composite walk based on the one that I'd done with Paul back in May , and one in the "Day Walks" series. There was space for me to park in Holme and the start of the walk descends to the Digley Reservoir, where Jacinta and I had parked in May . The reservoir was very low- either because of the lack or rain or for maintenance. Digley Reservoir- outflow well above water level After crossing the dam between the Digley and Bilberry Reservoirs, the path joins the Kirklees Way and there's a good view of Black Hill above Bilberry Res. Black Hill and Holme Moss above Bilberry Reservoir The Kirklees Way is left for the Pennine Way at the Isle of Skye layby. Much to my disappointment, Carol's tea waggon wasn't there.
