Edale, Crookstone Hill and Jaggers Clough We set off from Edale in the dry, hoping to do a walk to Hope and then catch the train back to Edale as we had done earlier in the year. The first 90 minutes were fine and we enjoyed a good walk up to the Kinder Plateau. On the way up to Rowland Cote Moor Lose Hill and Back Tor in background The heather has waned from even two weeks ago and the bracken is starting to decline, having been so prolific earlier in the summer. The rain started in earnest, so we decided to adjust our route accordingly. Mam Tor with its head in the clouds After a soggy lunch, we diverted to the familiar route back to Edale, emerging eventually at Edale Youth hostel and Ollerbrook farm. The way down remained very wet, but, as ever, it was great to be out in the fresh air and watching the views and the hardy sheep shaking off the rain like little dogs. We adjourned to the Penny Pot and made the most of a hot drink and, for Jacinta, a rather delicious raspberr...
