Middleton to Via Robin Hood's Stride Elton Another day, another walk in the lovely White Peak. We parked in Middleton (by Youlgreave) and set off down a lane to a clapper stone bridge- the second that we'd crossed yesterday with the quotation by Pope. Then, it was up the footpath to the rather scenic Hopping Farm and Campsite. There was a helpful signpost in the middle of campsite- although Robin Hood's Stride was still three miles away along a pretty convoluted route. It's possible that the farmer was tired of people asking for directions. This would see them off the premises quickly! Helpful signpost The next section afforded us great views across the hills as we gained height. The beautiful sunny morning added to the enjoyment of being out on another walk and we could look down on Youlgreave in all its glory.
