Shining (?) Tor It was a shame that the day was so wet as our time for walking was limited this week. We decided just to go to Shining Tor for a quick blow and not worry too much about the rain. Accordingly, we hot-footed it to the top of Shining Tor, propelled by driving rain, had a quick breather and then came back down again. It was not as wet on the descent. However, honour was served and at least we got some fresh air on an unpromising day. A squidgy walk of 4.2 miles with 180m ascent.
