Edale, The Lonely Trig Point and Blackden Edge Off for a walk on a Monday morning made special by excellent company. We met Ann and Julian in Edale and repaired to the Penny Pot for some refreshments. Then it was up the valley, to the left of Ringing Roger beside Golden Clough, to reach the edge of the Kinder Plateau. On the way up beside Golden Clough. It is good to take a slightly different route on Kinder as it is less travelled and seems much quieter. We took the faint path north to Blackden Edge. By now, the sun was out and it was very pleasant to walk in the clear weather. David and I always remember our trip to this area in the mist and the amazing cloud inversions we witnessed.
