Baslow, Edensor and Chatsworth We decided to go to Chatsworth to have a longer walk that would probably not be too muddy after the recent heavy rain. From Baslow we went to Edensor to sample the Tea Rooms there for a coffee before we began the walk proper. Chatsworth bridge picture Then through the car park and farmyard, to gain the woodland path. The path contours the hillside, passing the ruined aqueduct, whose torrent must have been visible from the cutting across the park. Aqueduct remains The zig-zag path eventually emerges at the Hunting Tower, always a good place for a snack and a breather. We decided to give the Lakes a miss on this trip and instead made our way through the woods to the impressive stile which marks the beginning of open country.
